Very Old Native American "Chip Work" Bracelet Information

My father had ancestors from a region in Northern W.V. whom owned a store, and did alot of trade with the local Native American Indian tribe from that region decades ago...possibly even I'm sure over a century ago. Now he had some how seem to come into inherited, being he took care of my grandmother in her last years, alot of jewelry from my great uncle' s and down the line...

But I have always loved, and been a big collector of Native American Jewelry, so, he has passed this wonder piece of artwork and history off to me. However, I have been having trouble identifying it. All I have found out thus far, since he doesn't remember the tribes name, is that it is most likely is Sterling, very very old, an old artwork no longer used anymore called CHIPWORK, and most likely, Mexican Indian... I am hoping someone can lead me in the right direction . It is such a beautiful amazing piece, and would love to learn more about it!!!

Thanks!!!***
