Age of 33rd Degree Masonic Ring

by Patrick O'Neill
(Clifton Springs, NY)

What is the item?
A 33rd degree Mason's ring of indeterminate age.

Can you please provide all background information?
My mother has had for years - was told it was a med school grad ring from 1933. Jeweler identified it as a Mason's ring. Could not determine its age. Not until I saw close-up of crucifix did it occur to me that the ring might be much older than we thought.

What are the markings?
1.3ct J-color diamond cut in "old style" according to jeweler. 10ct yellow gold band with what appears to be areas of white gold. White gold fish-scale designs to either side of stone. Crucifix engraving on one side side of band just beyond white gold area, sword and weight scales on other side of band. Small ring size - size 8.

Where are the markings?
As noted above.

Freemason's Gold Ring

I have an old Freemasons 14ct Gold Ring that I believe is from the late 50's to Early 60's. I would like to get an idea on what this ring may be worth. It was definitely worn a lot..

Masonic Gold Ring

by John
(Reading UK)

The hallmarks on the ring starts with 19 then an old fasioned B and I believe the third hallmark is a W (possibly Sheffield?) the fourth hallmark is unreadable. I would like to find out how old this ring is - I dug it up in my garden many years ago
regards
John Hunter

Secret Masonic Hallmark?

by Bill
(Pendleton, Oregon)

Greetings - thanks for making this forum available. I have a plain gold band ring of undetermined origin. It has a masonic hallmark and what appears to be a capitol "Z" inside a square. Any ideas here? The ring is actually a gold color rather than the copper hue that appears in the photo. There is some tarnishing that makes me think it has a lower gold content. Thanks!
